Went out with a buddy this morning for a quick hunt before work. Just before light, we found ourselves absolutely SURROUNDED by Toms gobbling and Hens yelping from their roosts. Ten minutes after the sun crested the horizon this little fella came a runnin' in to the calls and put on a short show. He got suspicious of the decoy set-up and was being tempted by a hen down the hill, so the decision was made to take him. It was a quick/short hunt but a FANTASTIC morning!

He had an average beard (9") and decent spurs...

Thought a couple of you here might enjoy the pics.

(Sorry, I didn't take any of my Busse-kin blades out with me today. My smallest Kin-blade these days is my RMD, so I left it at home. For those interested, the knife is an AEB-L caper by Kestrel Knives - norcalblacktail. I swear the knife is lighter than the 550 paracord that's wrapped around the handle.)
