No, the current production Kabar Kukri is guardless and has a wider blade:

This new blade type reminds me of a big bellied HI WWII... interesting...

I wish they had a pic of them with the grivory handles that they are going to come with from the factory. Or just ship them out with these micarta handles that are an $40 add-on option.

I agree that these will probably outsell all other Beckers. I'll going to do my part and by a couple of each.

Thanks Trailbum. It really helps to get a size perspective with other known knives in a side by side. I see nothing but pure Becker excellence, in a very handy size. :thumbup: I have never EDC'd a FB over a folder. But maybe, just maybe...............

The small-ish Kukri with the "stacked-leather looking" handle is a project that Tooj is working on for some special people. It should be great when finished.

The 4th knife down is the BRUTE if i am not mistaken.

I want one of each tweener (3) total, a Patrol Machete, a BRUTE & a Machax.

i took more than a few at Blade show. go see the FAQ/database Blade 2011 picture show.

you won't get any user shots from me. that would mean using a rare and to me, unique treasure. i mean, seriously, it's a knife, they cut stuff, you know how that works. it's not going to cut more magically... also, and more importantly, this is a prototype, so the production versions might (will?) be different, so giving false expectations is ... poor form.

they're going to be super hot, and they will probably sell out the first wave. maybe the second. that would be sweet.

Ka Bar next gen zytel(?) on a kuk would be sweet! Something with a thinner profile would be perfect.

Definitely going to pick up a couple tweeners, machax, and patrol machete, next year.
