This is just for a lark, I'm not trying to actually request these from Ka-Bar (whether they happen to stumble onto this thread and maybe draw some inspiration is out of my hands haha).

I was just curious, of the new tweeners that are coming out, which would you most like to be able to carry as a folder?

BK15?
BK16?
BK17?

Personally I'd love a BK16 folder, it would be very comforting knowing I have a mini BK2 folded up all snuggly inside my pocket, but a BK15 folder would be pretty cool too.

EDIT: I should include that one of the reasons I'm so interested in tweener folders is that where I live you can not carry a concealed fixed blade and I've always wanted a bk tweener but I would only ever really get to carry it in the woods which I don't get to go into very often, unless I want to always have a knife handle sticking out of my belt in plain site and that might scare the sheeples...

I think I'd prefer a frame lock almost like the Sebenza's. Could you imagine a BK16 folder with assisted open? Deep carry pocket clip? G10 scales? If it wouldn't cost a fortune I'd commission this from one of the many talented craftsmen of BF.

Framelock would be cool, but I'd want the scales on both sides. How about we compromise on a thick liner lock then? I like the deep pocket clip idea very much. Man... yeah those customs are a lot of money. I am surprised after so much talk about a Becker folder for so long that they haven't done something yet. I wonder if Mr. Becker has put much thought into it. It seemed like the Eskabar came along pretty quick comparatively...

I'd compromise on a thick liner lock to keep scales on both sides. Maybe if we keep this thread alive long enough the 2013 Shot Show will have a special addition at the Ka-Bar booth haha.

there are plenty of good folders now. get one. use it :)

I hear ya Bladite. We can dream though 8). I think the Ontario Rat 1 is a good low price folder as far as what we are talking about. But I'd be happy to pay 50 for even a chinese BK16F.

i doubt Ethan would want a chinese made knife in 440 :)

and it would cost $100+ made in the states. just the way things go.

Well, dang... Thanks for crushing my dreams 8(.

Last thought... Would Toooj maybe throw some Becker flair into a dozier? Or would Mr. Becker stand apposed?
