Tweeners, Machax, maybe a brute...so when will the re-release the Patrol machete???

I wondering if any of you insiders can tell me if there are or will be any plans to remake the Patrol machete? As much as I try to like the machax, it just bends too much for my taste but the patrol machete is a bigger straighter solution for me. I could swear me 2008/9 Ka-Bar catalog had them in it but I could be wrong. Why did they discontinue them? I doubt they were unpopular as everything Uncle E creates is a hit...well I'm not quite sure about the Remora So if there is any info out there please let me know. I thought-"hey if they only got discontinued a year or two ago it should be kinda easy to find one". I thought maybe a store even still had one in stock I found one on the bay for $425!!! I love Beckers but none of them are worth that price, sorry

Camillus made the Patrol Machete, but as we know, Camillus folded.

there's lots of info. we even had a few threads recently, a limited pass-around of a Camillus model owned by M00se, and people have been finding old ones recently.

it's been YEARS since they've been for sale. many many many years.

there is probably one store with one in stock :} somewhere...

it's a highly sought after, valuable collectors item.

$425 is a bit high. saw one sell for $150 a while ago.

as for KaBar making them again, well, they were going to do prototypes and have some made in Taiwan, but Ethan/KaBar decided that no Becker would be made in Taiwan/China again. American steel. American made. All the way.

that was put on hold. now? maybe in two years. perhaps. unlikely sooner. could be later. might be ... a long long time.

So how long ago was the pass around from moose? I had a thread in the forum hoping maybe someone would let me try one for a bit. I thought since I've heard about people giving knives away just so someone else can have one that somebody would hook a brother up I'll just keep my fingers crossed.
