On top, here's my 1996 large regular Sebenza, my trusty EDC since the introduction of the "new" blade and handle profile. It's pictured with another large regular Sebenza, with the initial factory edge, for reference.
Chris has often talked about his reasoning for designing the Sebenza with a high hollow grind -- the fact that a working knife, delivering service year after year, will be sharpened countless times. In order to present an appropriately thin cutting edge as the blade wears towards the spine, a high hollow grind is essential to getting the most life out of the blade.
I'll post pictures in another 12 years . . .
