It was HOT & Humid here in South Eastern Ky but the boys & me wanted some "Bush Time" so we grabbed our gear & hit the hills ! The boys wanted me to show them how a spring snare works so I showed them what to look for & we went to work !

When we got back to the yard we had this Big'Ol Dragon Fly sitting by the fence, I think he was hit by a car, he wasn't moving much -

I got a short video of the Trap in action that I'll add to this thread after it down loads !

Great stuff! Looks like you all had an awesome time!:thumbup:

Thanks for the pics. Always a good time to see the kids enjoying it just as well as we do.

Here is the short video of the trap. I did not make this trap with a hair trigger, the purpose of this trap was to teach/learn the boys, I didn't want the working with this & it slap them in the face or put an eye out !

looks like a nice outing. that dragon fly is huge! indeed, your boys are growing up fast...soon, they'll have their own machetes too! i just got that tramontina for yard work last week too, i actually like it better than the more expensive condor ecosurvivor...i see you're a fellow lefty :D

I've had that machete for a while but I never really used it much until last fall...I took it in the garage for some TLC & it has now become my favorite & I have several Machetes & they cost me twice as much ! & yep I'm a SouthPaw !

Nice Ruger MK on your hip. I need to get a new one. I have an old MKII Target that is older than I am. I need to send it in to the shop (after well over 2 decades of pumping brick after brick through it, a cross pin inside the elbow/main spring has shifted. I can't disassemble it anymore). If I could get it out, I could re press it, but I made the mistake of putting it back together, when I knew the pin was loose).

Looks like good times out with the boys.
