This one sat around on a shelf gathering dust until the maker needed to raise some funds and dusted if off and posted it for sale on another forum.

It's Star Damascus with a carved rosewood handle flowing into a carved twisted star-shaped guard and quillions of O1. The blade is 6" long, with an OAL of 11". The maker is H.T. Ryerson.

It's my favorite fixed-blade of a modest few...:D

My apologies for the photo quality...Coop I'm not...;)

That is a very striking piece - I particularly like the way the "twisted" handle blends in with the guard.

Very interesting, the steel is really nice and that handle is quite unique. I'm not real sure if I like the handle or not, but I can sure appreciate the work that went into it. Thanks for showing it.

definitely tickles my sci fi / fantasy fancy. Looks like something out of Heavy Metal or a Geiger piece. Sooooooper cool!
If you ever wanna get rid of it...;)

It's a very unique piece.
I like the blade profile and the damascus is kick-ass.
The maker did an absolutely great job of executing a very difficult handle.

I wasn't sure if anyone else would like this one, so it's nice to know that others do, too. It's more impressive in person than my photos were able to capture, and surprisingly comfortable in hand. My wife even likes this one alot, and normally she just tolerates my obsession. :D

He (H.T. Ryerson) has had quite a few pieces for sale lately over on the other major knife forum. ;)

Anyway, thanks for the comments.

Ray :)
