This was a treat to myself for finishing my JS test knives. I've had to stick to carbon while the boys had all the fun twisting damascus. This is my first twisted metal and try at the keyhole handle method. I've had this knife in my head for months...or one like it anyhow, this one pretty much had it's own way due to my inexperience but I hope to get feisty with the next one and make it behave a little better. I'm including a few work in progress pics Adam took for fun.

This took alot of hand filing...something we learned all about in Brazil.
Shaping the African Blackwood as close as possible
The moment of truth..
Third time's the charm!
The wood and metal handle gets a few contours
finally after fileworking, etching and parkerizing -
We have to be the most boring masters the month before BLADE...always in the shop, never take them hunting or anything...I bet the puppies are considering trading us in for livelier models!
