This is the first knife I have finished all year! It took me 2 years to finish, but their was a tour of Afghanistan in that time as well.

Specs...
Blade is 15n20/1080 twist damascus from my first billet of damascus.
Handle is African Blackwood Burl with Turkish Walnut butt cap
Fittings are a Copper Habaki and Seppa. The tsuba is heat colored titanium with a natural titanium edge.

Wow, that is very nice!!! I like the swril of the damascus matched up with the grain of the burl.

I hate the fact that you have access to the best wood at AKS!

Nice knife, Jon. Good grinds and use of materials.

It did take way too long, but I think your excuse will hold up.

That is very Nice Jon It must feel good to be making again. That is some crisp work on that blade. And that black wood STOP teasing us
 
I bogart very little wood, but when I do it I go all the way. I saved the rest of that block for a MS knife :)

Dave I made that billet of damascus after taking that class with you. Thanks for the tips :)
 
That is very nice and with your new tool I am thinking we will be seeing much more from you in the months to come that is if you don't spend all your time chopping and sanding wood.
