I had to take my Twitch II apart about once a month. It was my EDC for a good couple of years and the lint would just clog up insides. It's not to bad of a takedown, just need a small hex wrench to take out the screw. Be careful not to lose the spring, it'll pop out on its own sometimes.
Once you get it all apart, clean everything and reassemble. The spring can be a pain to put back in, but once you get the hang of it it's not too bad.
An alternative if you don't want to take the whole thing apart is to just back the screw out a little until you get the smooth opening again. This will just prolong the inevitable and will add some side-to-side play in the blade, but it's the quick and dirty solution
(I moved to a Kershaw Scallion for my EDC)
