hey fellas..first time posting here in the SOG threads...i recently got me a SOG twitch 2..awesome little knife..i've been seeing some on youtube with the black aluminum handles with the PE satin finish. are these Discontinued or were they a limited run..cant seem to find them anywhere?..im kinda diggin the black aluminum handles.
 
I just bought one from knifecenter. It is a great little edc. I too love black blades.
 
Mmm never seen that one before, I'll have to do some searching.
 
I recommend you look into something else, my experience with the Twitch 2 was not good. There was always bladeplay and if I tried to tighten the pivot it would not flip open anymore with the flipper. After using it for a while the spring broke and the little switch that locks the backlock became very loose.
 
I ve always had great luck with SOG. Own many of them. The twitch has been great to me! Too many SOG bashers in this forum!!! You get what u pay for!
 
i havent had any problem with my SOG twitch..locks up tight no blade play when its open, a little back and forth when its closed..but over all its been rock solid..and for 30 bucks ya cant beat that.
 
Yes I believe the twitch is a good value! I just wish they would at least do some G10 handles on their higher priced knives! I love my mini tanto vulcan(got as a groomsman gift) but the handle is the zytel? or whatever they call it? It would be bad ass if it was G10!! The plastic handle with the nice lock and steel just doesnt add up?!
 
Feels and looks like plain old black plastic though! Dont get me wrong I like SOG but I just think they need to kick it up a notch with their higher end knives! I think the majority agrees, thats prob why there is so much SOG bashing on here!

Does anybody know the part# or where to get this version of the Twitch 2. I have a regular, aluminum handled twitch2, and it's too smooth. The textured one would be just the ticket. Thanks.
 
The ones with the checkered handles were limited edition Twitch II knives that we did. Unfortunately they are out of production now. Best bet would be to check eBay or the forums here.
 
Update on this little devil, i found two of these on ebay the last couple of months, been out bid on both and now i cant seems to find one of these little buggers anywhere now :grumpy:...needless to say the search continues for one..if anyone has one or has a lead to one for sale let me know :D
