I finally got my Twitch I, and IMHO the design is much improved over the Blink. Sure it's much thicker, but the flipper mechanism is a definite plus. Lock up is very solid, probably better than the Blink and there is no blade play, unlike the 1st gen Flash knives. Overall, I was very pleased ....except it didn't "Twitch" very well. I figured the blade only locked up about every fourth time I depressed the flipper. Right hand, left hand, upside down, didn't seem to matter. I tried WD-40 and then White Lightening to no avail. Finally (don't do this at home...warranty issues), I took the little sucker apart. The coil spring was overlapped as I suspected. So I reset the spring properly and it fires like a charm.:D

This can be a problem with all coil fired knives, I've seen this happen on $3,000 custom autos, but that sort of knife goes back to the maker for this sort of repair. As a side note, even though I like "small knives" the Twitch I is even a little too small for me. I'd go with the Twitch II, simply for ease of use. The Twitch I's small handle is tough to get decent purchase on. Thanks to SOG for using a better and easier to remove clip than on the Blink. The blade grind appears to be a bit uneven, but what do you want for $40. The edge was razor sharp though. I might be inclined to forego the dual thumbstuds altogether with the flipper, since they are tough to use, given the size of this knife. Overall, I'd rate it on par or slightly better than the Kershaw Chive.
