Hey all, I'm a bit of a newbie to the knife world, up until now all I've carried are cheapies. I want to get a decent knife for edc, and the SIG Twitch II seems to meet what I'm looking for, but I haven't found a local dealer with one. Anyone with personal experience with this knife? is it a good one for everyday use? easy to carry/fit in pocket? I work at a desk, so I'm sitting quite a bit.

Any input appreciated.

Thanks!

It's perfect for office type work. Will fit your pocket easily (clip) and lots of fun to open, good cutting ability if needed.

The only problem, if your pals try it they will all want one. :D

If you can state approx. where your located, I'm sure someone will know a dealer.

Or try below,

Thanks for the links...I did a couple searches, but some how missed that thread. I'll give it a read, and check out the "one stop knife shop".

Thanks again, and keep the comments coming!

I'm a bit late to the thread, but check out Lowe's if you've got one in your area. I got one there a couple of months ago for ~$45. I was in the tool dept. on an endcap with some other misc. knives.

I just got one about a week ago it is the special editions with the black checkered handle from here http://www.knifeoutlet.com/ I love mine it is just the right size for EDC is wicked sharp and seems to hold an edge well.

I just received a Twitch II today in the mail. Feels like Christmas to me! Been playing with it and will probably carry it over the Blink. It is just a tad larger than the Blink, but I still really like the Blink. The Blink is flatter or thinner in the pocket. My Twitch II spring is not as strong as the Blink, so it doesn't snap fully open every time. I'll have to play with it a bit.

22-rimfire, a bit of break in seems to be the key word here in these knives from what I have heard and seen (not long).

I have found the slot in the clip is a perfect placement for your middle finger, to help hold the knife secure so you can get a full push on the blade opener.

After opening several times, a drop of light oil really helps IMO.

Robbie, done that. It still is a bit slow. I have no idea if the spring is weak or if it is supposed to be this way. I'll continue to play with it. Thanks for mentioning it though. I looked at these at the Blade Show, but don't really remember one way or the other. Guess that is the third knife this year that I have purchased because of Chris at SOG. Chris sent me one of the nylon sheaths for the Seal Pup Elite that I bought at the show. I rig it up with my big SAK and the Seal Pup for a nice woods carry set up. Wonder what the next SOG will be? 2006 has definitely been a SOG year as I went from none to 11 SOG blades (one of which I'm giving as a present for Christmas to my nephew).

Rimfire, you also cannot apply pressure to the lockbar after the flipper is out of the way. The lockbar needs to rise freely in order for the blade to lock.
