Good day all.
I just bought myself a SOG for the first time.
I went to a knifeshop that I wanted to check out, and because Automatics are at the brink of getting completely banned were I live, I asked for them.
In short I came home with a Twitch XL TiNi, I liked it the most of the auto's in stock.

It looks well made to me, I like the blade and the handle fits my hand nicely.
It doesn't take a lot of space in the pocket too and I like the action.
It is simple and well thought out, works very nice too.
I allways liked flippers and the combination with a backlock is something innovative.

The lock doesn't look like it is the strongest backlock ever made but that doesn't worry me a bit as I'm not into abusing my knives.
It does look to be a good cutter though and I'm sure it will do fine at that.
Firing the action I find quite addictive but that is because it is still so new.

What I do wonder is if the continues hitting from the blade against the stop pin over time has any effect.
Is there anyone here who has used a Twitch over a longer period of time and can tell me how it held up?

I've only owned my Twitch for less than a year but its held up fine. There shouldn't be any problems with the blade continually hitting the stop pin.

The only thing that might fail eventually is the spring (quite normal with assisted openers). Don't worry though, it won't be happening anytime soon (might not even happen at all). SOG has life time warranty on their knives so they'll just replace the spring if that happens.

No problems with that here.

The spring has failed though. It failed a couple days after cutting into drywall as I was using it as a utility knife. SOG fixed her up no problem.

Thanks guys, I carry it a lot and use it too.
Great cutter it is and the action is a lot of fun.
Thinking of getting me a Twitch II as well.
