Hello All, here's my Friday Buck Knives... I got these sweet 501s at the swap meet... I don't know much about them, but the guy worked for Buck at one time... I do need to clean them up someday...

I've posted on this before but I think the dot is noting a switch to 425 steel, 1984 or 85. Which came with the block style lettering stamp. Nice photos ITE. DM

Thanks DM, for the info... So tell me more about that one dot... I remember something about it... Maybe it was just the switch to a different steel... Maybe there was more too it... I can't remember... Thanks, ITE
 
To this series, there was a construction change in 81. A change to 425 steel in 82 and they went to the block letter stamp in 84-85. Some consider the dot to indicate one of those changes. DM
