Why Just Own A Knife When You Can Own A Piece Of Art?

My name is Richard Von Hagen Palmer, functional artist and the maker of Von Hagen Knives. Each original, one of a kind Von Hagen Knife is handmade by me. For me, part of the thrill of being a functional artist is sketching my ideas on paper and then watching them come to life by my hands and in front of my eyes.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my work. I hope you like what you see.

Both of these BUSH STYLE KNIVES are ground from 3/16" thick A-2 STEEL bar stock.

The knife on the top is a FULL TAPERED TANG knife measuring 9" long. The 4 1/4" blade has a CONVEX GRIND. At its widest part, the blade is 1 ½". The handle is BEAUTIFUL AMBOYNA. This knife has a BLACK VULCANIZED SPACER.

The handle is tapered and hollow ground. This assures that the knife is perfectly balanced – not too heavy in the blade, not too heavy in the handle. This knife weighs only 7.04 ounces. When it is in the sheath and on your belt, you will be carrying 10.85 ounces.

The knife on the bottom is a FULL TAPERED TANG knife measuring 9" long. The 4 1/4" blade has a CONVEX GRIND. At its widest part, the blade is 1 ½". The handle is INCREDIBLE AFZELIA. This knife has a BLACK VULCANIZED SPACER.

This knife weighs only 6.53 ounces. When it is in the sheath and on your belt, you will be carrying 10.19 ounces.

Thanks for looking,
Rick

Those are great looking knives. I prefer the finishes you put on your blades that are polished and don't have the pattern to them. Great job!!!
