So today I received two guys that I have wanted for quite some time now. The first one is a Brute that has already had all of the reprofiling work done and has a scary sharp zero convex. This thing carves and chops like a demon! It is so effective! The second one is a first edition KaBar 2 that has the solid tang with no extended pommel. I had to touch its edge up on the diamond sharpener and ceramic and now it's good to go. They both received new Kabar micarta. The Brute needs to finish being stripped and then it needs some kydex!

That Brute looks really good! I sure would like to try one out someday.

Nice looking blades, tobiism - and a good score, too! I haven't checked today if that other Brute has been spoken for, but that was a decent price as well, considering....
It's pretty awesome that it's been reground....'bout the only way the Brute is usable and it's a crapload of work to do without power tools - even with them there's a fair amount of metal to remove. Congrats. Fine looking duo. And uno.

Yeah I was stoked to see one that was reqround. I have the equipment to do it, but not the patience on hardened 1095!!! And the heat treat is still perfect. He did a wonderful job on the regrind.
