Hi to Joe and all the Forum members/visitors. Here are some pics of the two Bowies on the cover of the Tactical Knives 1997 issue which introduced Bill's newest combat knife or "Hells Belle". This would be a milestone event in his career as it gained the attention of the Knife practitioners and blade arts enthusiasts who could acquire a suitable weapon to study and train in proper Bowie technique. The carbon steel Belle shown was the first Bill had made and it's size was designed for discreet carry which explains the 11 3/16" blade length limit on it. The other Bowie has a 10 1/2" blade 3/8" at the guard with damascus collar and osage orange coffin handle with iron pins & escutcheon plate. Both knives are well balanced though the Belle is quicker where the other has a greater power factor and similar carrying ability...Always follow your local laws re; CCW! Glad to see Pootsy,Marsus, Jmendez, STeven, and you all still posting on Joe's threads! Bob Furusho

Thanks for posting those Joe! The same way a Ferrari "still looks fast when parked" these Bagwell knives still look deadly sitting still. I always look forward to seeing more Bagwell beauties. Thanks!

Great fish by the way!

awesome stuff Joe:thumbup: that is the article which got me interested in bowies.

I'll keep posting on Bagwells as long as there is some :D
I love that damascus one it's got a lovely understaed beauty about it.
Thanks to Joe and Mr Furusho for the time and effort going into these threads. I just wish I was older and in a job to be able to afford more but I suppose when you've to fight to earn it means that its part of ya even more.
Every singlenew knife I get are all learning curves about what I like what suites my hands what I find the most comfortable handle material. Its also really interesting how time changes so much. I used to be pretty good wth a smaller blade of 3-4 inches but have found now i can feather sticks and all with greater ease with a nice big sharp bowie.
The Bagwell I have coming in April is going to be my user Bowie. Its gonna go camping with me and I'm gonna bet my life on it :D a knife you can trust from a name you can trust :P

I remember that 97 issue, think i still have a copy somewhere. Man those pics make me want to take up fly fishing.
