This knife was a custom order. I am real happy with how it turned out. I would like to keep it for myself if it weren't left handed.
Maroon linen micarta scales (mill relieved)
D-2 blades of 3/32" stock
3 1/2" closed
7/16" thick
2 oz.
1/2 stop
Back flush in open, close, and 1/2 stop on both blades
Nice action
Thanks for looking,
Gene

Can you explain what "mill relieved" means?
I kind of understand but not exactly

Mill relieved is when the surface around the pivot is milled out just enough so the tang of the blade does not rub on the liners or other handle material when the blade is opened or closed. This keeps the tang from getting scratched up and reduces friction making the knife open and close smoother. Most factory knives are not mill relieved so every time they are opened and closed it scratches up the tang a little bit more. I hope this explanation helps.

If I understand it right I am left with one question, doesn't having (bronce) washers do the same?

Yes, But I think that your blade would have to be thinner than the spring to make it work and it would be hard to make a multi-blade slipjoint without having all the blades separated by liners. That would make your knife thicker than it needs to be.

Thnx,
I just couldn't get the complete picture.
And I still like the knife!

Gene that is one great looking sowbelly. Very nice indeed. Pretty sure I will be contacting you before too long.

It's 7/16" thick. The knife feels thin for having two blades. For reference, it is about the same thickness as my Queen canoe with a single backspring.
