I just finished this two blade folder last night. Both blades work off the same spring. The knife is 3 1/4" closed. The main clip point blade is 2 3/8", and the sheep's foot blade is 1 1/2". The back spring and the blades are made of O1 tool steel. The liners, bolsters, and pins are nickel silver, and the scales are black linen micarta.

Chris, Great looking knife...Could we get a top view of it...also I took your shop tour, great pictures....i also see you are a garage man..I am also, in a golf community...i could not imagine fireing up a hammer and pounding out a blade with out the homeowners going crazy,,,how do you do it???

Chris,

I have to agree with BigJohn!! I work in my garage also in a quiet neihborhood. My neihbors are cool and often stop by to visit and borrow tools :) The loudest noise I make is friction sawing Ti. and using my shop vac. How noisy is the hammer??

Nice, NEAT shop by the way. I would have to clean up for a day before taking pictures of my shop!!!

Boy, I thought I was the only crazy person. Dr. Lathe you are right on my neighbors walk their dogs and stop in, If the wives are missing thier hubbys they call to send them home... I not only have the shop they wish they had...I also have a fridge full of BUD....Beer , shinney things and gun talk, what self respecting American male can resist..LOL :D

None of my neighbors stop by.... Maybe it's because of the hammer?!;) Actually, the way that I get away with running my hammer is that I live in a pretty new subdivision, and there are always a couple of houses being built. I try to limit my hammer usage to mid morning while the carpenters are making all of their racket. I'm not sure what I'll do when the finish all of the houses.

BigJohn. Here is a top down picture of the knife. The blades are offset to allow them to sit side by side. As you can tell from this picture, the main blade is ground more heavily on the inside. The small blade is also, but it is from a thinner stock. You will also notice in the picture the spacer that I soldered into the liner to make up the difference of the small blade. The main blade and backspring started off as 3/32". The small blade is 1/16" with a 1/32" spacer.
