First is 22 inch, 24 ounce Kobra by KNN. Minor rust damage left side of blade. Outside of this 10/10. Karda well made but very minor rust damage. Chakma perfect. Scabbard and frog by village sarki with new leather -- excellent.

We'll deliver this one to your door for $75, a $50+ saving -- spend an hour to bring finish to perfect or use as is.

Call or email if interested.

Second is 15 inch, 22 ounce AK. 10/10 effort by Kesar with very minor rust damage. Karda and chakma fine. Scabbard by village sarki with new leather -- very nice.

We'll deliver this rig to your door for $75, another $50 saving. And again, spend an hour to bring finish to perfect or use as is.

Call or email if interested.

Just a quick question - when you say "spend an hour and bring the finish to perfect", how is that done and what do you use? I might learn something before the year is out! Loooking forward to getting the Chitlangi.

I remove rust spots with sandpaper when I do it. Start with coarse grit and move up to 2000 or so. I'd do it myself but one I'm too lazy and two it's too cold outside. I don't like to do it in the house because the grit gets everywhere.

quad-nought steel wool and some Flitz metal polish works pretty well too. B.

Actually, they can all fit in the process. If there is any pitting involved, the paper is the only thing that will remove it. The Flitz/0000, rubbing compound, or rouge on a cloth will remove most of the paper scratches, and a final polish with red rouge on a wheel or a Dremel felt polishing tip or drum will bring it back to HI spec.

Great:D Thanks for all the info. Last question - my one and only Chuk (WW II, until my Chitlangi arrives today) seems to be more highly polished on one side. Is this normal for perhaps displaying it? Thanks again.

It is unusual for one side to me more highly polished than the other but can and does happen once in awhile.

Out of curiosity, is that Kobra still up for sale? Can't afford it, am just curious.

Wild,
I had one before some "road karma" took it away. Whoever gets it will be happy. Great weapon, fills the short sword niche really well and can be handeled in hallways and other close quarters easily. It also does a good job clearing brush...but who is interested in that. ;) :p
