Recently I submitted a couple of knives by Rodrigo Sfreedo. Today are two knives by Dan Farr. One, a Bowie is new and the other a Sub-Hilt Fighter is an older knife but I have not gotten an exact age. Maybe if Dan reads this, he will be able to offer some additional information.

Lets start with the sub-hilt fighter which I think is a more rare type of knife for Dan to have produced.

OAL the knife is 13 5/8" with a 8 1/8 5160 forged blade. The guards and butt are nickel silver with ivory spacers on a Walnut handle and Dan's sheath work.

The second knife is a Bowie.

The OAL is 11 1/2" with a forged 7" CPM1V blade. The guard is damascus and wire inlay adorns the walnut/ebony handle.

Both these knives are quite unique and add greatly to the collection.

Dan's great work is surpassed only by his being a great guy!

Congrats on those fine pieces!

Congrats Murray.
Great looking sub-hilt,Dan Farr does wood good, doesn't he.
First forged CPM1V I've seen for a Bowie blade, from stem to stern it looks like one sleek fighter.
Two very worthy additions to your collection.

I don't think I've ever seen a subhilt fighter from Dan - I'm guessing that's either the only one or else one of a VERY few. Great pair.

I really like them both, but I think I would prefer the subhilt without the ivory spacers. That coffin handled bowie is outstanding.
