Mail lady delivered two by Don Morrow today. These are the last two custom knives I am ever going to get. (this year :D) The top three photos are of the bone Barlow. Inspired by Blues, who has a similar one and sang the praises of Don's work to me. I also went with a Wharncliffe for the secondary blade. The bottom three are of the stag peanut, all tricked out with some amazing file work. The Barlow is 3 1/2 and the peanut is about 2 3/4. Barlow is CPM154, peanut is ATS-34. Both have half stops. The fit and finish on Don's knives is as good as any knife I own. What a way to end the year!

Thats a great way to finish out the year....
I'm not normally a big fan of heavy filework but I sure have a lot of respect and admiration for folks that can do it with that level of detail.
Very Nice....

WoW Rob! You're closing out ought-eight in style brother. Not that I expect any less from you, or for that matter, that Blues fella you mentioned. :)

Congrats to you, and on New Year's Eve be sure to drink a toast to Morrow. ;)

Nice ones Rob. I may have to call Mr. Morrow I sure like that Barlow at that 3 1/2" size.

congrats!!

Congrats, Rob, on two beauties. I knew you wouldn't be disappointed. Don's work is very, very clean.:cool:

Shazam, those sure are some purdy knives! We don't see enough of Don Morrow's work. Congrats.

Your Kung Fu is strong, Master Goobus.

Don makes a great knife and those two prove it! Very nice Rob!

I also received a peanut from Don this christmas. I also have 4 others. His work is wonderful and he is a gentilman to work with.

+1 agreed!

Rob,

They are both exquisite!. What a pair to finish off 2008 with. Congrats.

Very nice pair of knives! That little peanut at 2 3/4 and file work qualifies as pocket jewelery! Its hard to see the scale of the knife and file work in the picture but at 2 3/4 any flaw in the file work would stand out. I sure do not see any! Well done:thumbup:
