Here's a couple blades I've been working on this week. Both have blades out of recycled steel. I see the larger knife being used in a kitchen. It has a 8 3/4" hand forged saw steel blade, wrought iron fittings and a stabalised birds eye maple handle. The smaller knife has a 4 1/2" blade I forged out of a small old wagon wheel that I'm pretty sure is at least 1050 carbon steel. It was in the old foundation wall that I got wrought iron out of a few weeks ago. I used a piece of deer shin bone for the handle that I processed 3 or 4 years ago. It also has wrought iron fittings. Larger knife is 14 1/2" and the smaller one is 9" overall.
