Due to needing some extra cash for a project I want to do, I am selling my Phoenix Max. Every time I go out I usually take my Trapline anyway! This is one of a very few knives I`ve made in 1/4" steel.

Phoenix Max
The specs are:
11" overall
6" blade
1/4" thick O1
I believe the handle is ironwood. Asking SOLD shipping with leather pouch sheath.

The newest from JK Knives, the Pug. The Pug is 4 3/4" overall, with a 2 3/8" blade of 1/8" O1 steel, and a 2" right side chisel ground cutting edge, with a small secondary bevel. The handles are 1/4" thick tan canvas micarta, for a total thickness of under 5/8". These will come with a choice of kydex neck / pocket sheath, or leather pocket sheath. $80 + $6 shipping.

I will consider partial trades of some Buck knives.

Looking for models 116, 118, and 120. Also nice 110`s, possibly others. Let me know what you have.

This confirms my thoughts that my mid size knives are my best sellers. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! :D

There's nothing wrong with your bigger knives - I thinks it's just that you got a lot of polite folks that were "raised right" who want to give those who were more involved with the knife's design or other long-time friends first choice.

Could be, but I also posted them in the exchange. Not a single comment on them.

i think the midsized are probably more popular everywhere in a lot of ways - legality, utility, weight and ease of carry etc

i'm really liking the Pug ..just too many irons in the fire at the moment to swing it. will the Pug be for order at a later date?

Awesome!! i'll be on your mailing list soon enough for a Pug and i'm also looking at your other designs as well, just can't pick a favorite....thanks again Sir.

Hi John -

I don't think you can take too much insight from the fact that nobody bought or inquired about your knives in one day.

We have a hobby that is very specialized - what is perfect for one person is all wrong for a lot of others.

I had my Busse DSSF Stealth Fighter up for sale at a very reasonable price for two months before anyone posted in the thread, and that fellow bought the knife.

I would also add that chit-chat is not allowed in for sale threads in the exchange. That is ok here in your forum, but in reality, posting "I would really love to have that knife but cannot swing it right now" helps little. (I did email that sentiment to you though lol )

See the following thread, section 4, rule 1 -
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/announcement.php?f=699&a=98

I would add to the original post what it would cost today to have a beauty like that Phoenix made today - that might raise some interest in the knife.

Both will sell - you just have to bump the thread each week and wait for the right person to see the knife.

best regards -

+1 what Andy said -- I live the looks of the Phoenix Maxx as well, but don't have spare funds right now - plus my 110's are well used and the 120 was given to my dad after his 119 was stolen a few years back, so I have nothing for partial trade.

When you bump a thread, does it move back to the top since they changed things?

john if my spike hawk wasn't on order I probably would take that phoenix max but my blade funds are hit at the moment after christmas and all the holidays. it's a great design and in my favorite size range for playing in the bush.

I'm saved!
been trying to figure out if phone and electricity are more important than that Phoenix max! :D
