I have a friend here on the central California coast who not only collects nice knives but is a regular on Blade Forums. Over time, a few pieces have exchanged hands between the two of us.

A couple years ago he acquired a great Fogarizzu Persian folder from me (first pic). A couple days ago luck was with me - I found out he owned a really cool piece by Salvatore Puddu that I'd known of and admired, and acquired it from him (top piece, second pic). Thanks, Rich!

Bob, I am really happy you now have this piece in your collection.... It's in good company, we all know that..

I enjoyed this knife so much, and thought I should mention it came to me via another West Coast collector, Martin Reingold... Martin bought it directly from Salvaltore at a knife show in Milan I believe... Maybe 6 years or so ago...

Mitchell Cohen brought out the best of these pieces with his photo's... The smaller folder is Puddu's "Luca" model....

Best Regards Bob.... Rich Slaughter

Jon, that's not "tortoise", it's "exotic natural material", at least according to every dealer.:D;)

Rather soon, I'll have another brilliant piece I'll probably show (part of a set), also featuring "exotic natural material".

Congratulation Bob&Rich ! They are great knives!! Antonio and Salvatore are both top makers to my eyes.

Thanks Bob for posting this picture, I made this knife some years ago and I still love this shape, this is the first I made and is part of a serie of 5 , the others are in different sizes , bigger and smaller .
Thanks to Rich for having it in his collections I hope he enjoys it.
Thanks to Emmanuel for his always kind words.
