I'm might not have all the facts straight, but this is what i've read/been told:

The green finish is an option when ordering or refurbishing. The green 5,5" Aviator was a 50 pc special run for Tadgear. The Nkonka is part of a 200 pc run in CPM3V. Only three of these were green.

The small Aviator looks to be .187" thick instead of .177", though i haven't measured it yet. Do anyone know if the early ones were burlier?

I just measured the small Aviator. It is 5-5,2 mm thick at the ricasso. Is it just mine or are all early Aviators thicker?
