Two-handed "helicopter" opening

I have seen some balisong experts who are very good at opening and closing balisongs - either right hand or left hand.

But I have yet to come across someone who is equally good with the balisong with both hands.

To be specific, both hands at the same time.
I am right-handed. Is it possible for me to practise the balisong to such an extent that I can be just as good with my left hand as my right?

What are chances of being ambidestrously good with balisongs with both hands at the same time?

I know there is a remote possibility that one can be good with anything with an adequate investment of time but is there anybody who has achieved this level of prowess with the balisong - both hands?

Waiting to hear from the true Balisong-man. Tips, please.

i'm sure i'm not going to be the only person who says this but Clay(www.balisongxtreme.com) , is good with both hands. And I'm sure that there are quite a few other people that frequent this forum that also are, they just haven't gotten around to posting videos on a website as extensively as Clay has.

I can do most (there are a couple I haven't been able to get) of the techniques on Clay's site with both hands. I am right handed at some things and left handed at others, with balisongs I'm mainly right, I can do the same tricks with my left as I can with my right but I can still feel that my left is weaker. It'll be a few more years of flipping with my left til it'll be as strong or as assured as my right.

BTW, I may be BalisongMan but I am definitely not thee Balisongman there are lots of people who've been flipping longer than I have and who are better than I am (without a doubt).

My left hand can do almost everything my right hand can do, but there is still a subconscious un-easiness there.

That's why I always suggest that you start your weak hand as soon as possible.

I believe that if one hands learns too much too far ahead of the other hand, you'll never have that total confidence in the weaker hand.

I train with both my hands. Actually, I usually learn a new move with my left hand (I'm right handed) first and have the right hand "helping" the other handle around to figure out the motions needed. Also, when veiwing Clay's videos in Windows media player, I have to use the mouse to slowly scroll through it, leaving my left hand free for practice. In the end though, I'm still more comfortable with my right, but both hands are pretty equal speed, dexterity and strength wise. Both hands manipulating a balisong at once I can do but usually it's the same move at the same time or staggered (one slightly ahead of the other). Different moves for each hand takes a lot more concentration. It'd probably help if I had similar balisongs in each hand!

I've only known a few people that could do both hands at the same time very well...and completely different moves to boot. It's a gift that some people have, and not all of them are ambidextrous.I'm a right paw,but can manage a bit with the left paw.I've known left paws who could do better with a right paw...and people who were either who could do both, but yet weren't ambidextrous at all.
Part of the trick is to train each hand independently, and once they both get to the point of being second nature...start working them both at the same time..using same and different moves. This is what a friend did,and it worked for him.
