I have the regular Warhawk, which has some significant differences in fit and finish from the military version. The military is great, but I wanted the traditional look.
The steel finish is as good as most fine blued firearms. The shaft is nicely sanded, stained, and finished. The head to shaft junction is flawless. All three of the cutting edges will shave. The points between the primary edge and the forward/trailing edges are sharp enough to do some serious damage. The overall weight is low and the hawk is very fast and lively in your hand. I am sure that you will be very happy with your new Warhawk.
For those who would like to order a Warhawk but are deterred by the price, give thought to the Competition model if you can live without the sharpened leading and trailing edges. The dimensions are very similar (may be the same, but only Two Hawks can answer that). Two Hawks lists the finish as one grade less deluxe, but it is still pretty extraordinary. The Competition model costs a little over half as much as the Warhawk. I spent a couple hours this afternoon chopping brush with it (about 1 1/2" max branches) and can heartily recommend it for such chores, as well as for throwing and, presumably, fighting (which I have thankfully never had to do).
