(Thanks for indulging. I am new to khuk's and, while standing next to the water, I have yet to jump in. :D )

1 - When the khukuri are advertised by Yangdu, such as a villager model, and a length is given: Is the length the actual blade length tip to handle on a straight line, length of blade with a flexible measure along the spine, or the length of the entire khukuri including the handle.

2 - When the prices conclude with YBB... What is "YBB?"

Thanks in advance!!

generally its a straight line from the pommel to the tip of the blade (at least, thats how i generally measure them and have seen them measured. could be wrong)

and ybb means yandu's best buy

Also read the stickies at the top of the page for how to order the specials.

dotd= deal of the day

Come on in, Paddling Man, the water is fine... so are the HI Khuks!

I'm tickled pink - shaving sharp, well made, will buy more.... almost as addicting as INFI :D :D

Thanks, guys! It's starting to make sense now. The construction link is especially nice!

I've a hard time getting my mind wrapped around all of the different kinds of khukuri but the one you've pictured, Rat-30, I like A LOT. The view, from more than a simple side angle, really fleshed out the size of that blade!

I'm really digging it, too.
It's about 26 ounces, 16 inches bottom pommel to tip, straight line.

Hey, paddlin_man. Swam over from the SRKW pages? :D Welcome, you'll like it here. You can use a 'coot as a karda, I do.

I'm gonna need a walker before that "new line" ever shows. :foot:

Welcome Paddling Man good to see you over here. Can't wait to hear your opinions of the performance of one of these blades.

Oh, boy. This is going to be fun... and dangerous to the wallet. Eh? These "specials" fly out of here don't they?? I'm going to have to start checking early in the AM and be ready, I guess.

Thanks for the welcome and info!

I can vouch for the fact that when the HI bug bites, it bites hard (and digs in deep). :)

Start checking between 1 and 2 pm. Hit refresh a LOT. NEVER HESITATE. All these knives are a value, and of good quality, and backed by flawless service.
