Looks good, I love recycled materials.. Files and rasps work great. I like the kydex set up on the large knife, looks cool. I’ve done one similar, works good when attaching to MOLLE webbing. What are the specs on the top one?
 
thanks the top one is made from a 6mm thick English "stubbs" file. blade length is 110mm. scales are oiled zebrano wood with black and white spacers and aluminium pins. tang has been hollowed/skelotonized to get the balance right
below is a pic after heat treat and temper, testing the blade and edge before finishing

 
MJ nice job! I really like the little necker knife. I'm looking to do the same thing with some high carbon files that I have in my shop. Because I can't get a definitive answer other then don't use file stock for knives… Would you share your heat treatment process?
