As we begin to discuss Blade 2012 and knives that folks will be able to view, here are a couple of knives made by Paul Savage, Ayr, Ontario which were part of his 2011 JS submission and which, while not sold at Blade 2011 were purchased from Paul at the CKG show in March 2012 but with one still requiring a sheath were not totally available for photos and discussion until now.

First is a Bowie/FighterOAL 14 1/8" with 9 1/4" W2 forged bladem 416 SS satin finished guard and spacer with a nicely done black sheath. The handle on this knife and the overall balance makes it a delight to sit and handle for hours at a time.

The second knife is a nicely done Price Style dagger with mammoth ivory in a framed handle with hidden tang. OAL is 10 1/4" with a 6" 1084 forged blade and 416 SS satin finished guard and bolster, The sheath is leather with 416 SS satin finish throat and tip which fits perfectly to the blade. An excellent package.

These are two excellent knives which now have prominent places in the display of knives from our collection.

Beautiful workmanship on both....the dagger ensemble is stunning.

Paul's a class act. These two blades exhibit everything I've ever seen from him. Awesome attention to detail, superb fit and finish!

Great knives from Paul, I have handled them both, the fit and finish is second to none. Plus Paul is a great person, what more could you ask for.

These two are fabulous Murray. The next time I visit I hope to see/fondle these fine knives!!

Very nice knives! Especially the dagger.

Kind regards,

Jos

Jos I totally agree, but for my personal taste the makers mark is a bit too large/prominent. Murray, great acquisitions.

Marcel -- I agree but nothing much I can do about that. Don't know if PS will note this and make an adjustment but then the name etc might not be very visible. Bob Loveless did not use a small logo though.
