Zt 0566 or kershaw 1870 knockout?

For my girlfriends brother not me...

The ZT has elmax for blade and the knockout is sandvik 14c28n...Neither of which I know really anything about, however I assume the zt is a better knife. The price difference between the two doesn't matter.

Thanks, Dustin

If you know he is in to knives and will appreciate it, get him the ZT. If not, get the Kershaw. I'm a big fan of the Knockout so you can't go wrong with either one.

He likes knives but has never had a folder over a $40 buck knife (cannot recall model). Sorry I didn't explain properly, he is purchasing the knife and had asked me which he should go with so he will make the final decision mostly on what I tell him.
Thanks guys...ZT so far looks more promising

I've seen him before but never really checked out the site. Thanks a bunch Brad!

I personally am not a fan of assisted opening knives, but I know the 566 can be deassisted if that's something he's interested in. Not sure about the knockout. Both are good knives, I've had good luck with both Elmax and Sandvik 14C28N.

He's never had an assisted, so this is where he will find out if he likes it! Haha. It least it seems he picked to decent knives, and neither appear to be a BAD choice

The 0566 is an awesome knife. Mine is deassissted at the moment and is smooth as butter. Got one in my pocket right now. :)
