I'm getting close to finishing up two more Model 1's. Just need to grind the final edges and make sheaths. The jade G-10 one is sold. I only included the crappy second pic so you can kind of see the line I etched about a 1/2" down from the tip of the blade. That one is going to a customer who loves to fish for brook trout. He wanted me to mark the blade so that he only cuts that deep when cleaning the little suckers to keep him from cutting up the fillet too much. He likes the progress so far, but my hand satin finishes still need lots of work.

The other one is the first swedge I ever did and I like the contrast with belt finished bevels and a horizontal finished flat. I'm liking this one a lot and it may become my new EDC. Not sure if I'm ready to sell this one yet:D

Thanks for looking, input always welcome.

Looking good, looks like it would be very comfortable to hold.

You live in Pinole, that's some of my old stomping grounds! I had a girlfriend that lived there and i lived in Oakland on the lake at the time. You wouldn't happen to be a sailor as well would you?

Looking good Jon.

Thanks, Jason. I appreciate you checking 'em out:D

Xander,
Nope, not a sailor.....but I did end up in Pinole 20 years ago because of a woman:cool: I was born in Walnut Creek, but came to Pinole when I married my first wife who was from here. That didn't work out, but I liked it, stayed here, and met another Pinole gal who is incredible! Been with her almost sixteen years:thumbup:

Wow Johnny,
You havent been doing this long, and your knives are looking great! Cant wait to see what you have in store next.

Matt,
Thanks! That means a lot coming from you since yours is some of the custom work that inspired me to do this in the first place:)

Merry Christmas!

Looking real good Jonny! Looks like knifemaking agrees with you. You've been making fast progress and I enjoy looking at your threads.

Thanks, J:thumbup: I appreciate the kind words.

Here are a couple pics of the jade green handled one, sharpened with kydex finished, ready for delivery. The blade finish is something I want to work on, but this knife is going to be a heavily used knife and my customer wanted it to be no frills, he's happy with it and that makes me happy. This sucker is wicked sharp and should slice open those little trout nicely.

Thanks for looking.....
