I received two Mustang Knives in a recent shipment from Nepal with other HI knives and sword. They were made by a Mustang Knife maker.

My father happened to be in that area to visit with local folks that he knew and he met this Tibetan man who showed him the two knives. Right away father liked the knife and brought it back to Bhaktakapur. Sarki put the leather strips on both knives to secure the blade in the sheath and the knives can be carried on a belt.

The blade is sharp and the sheaths are made of white metal with decorative stone turquoise, coral and, bird dragon, deer etc. Quite a lot of intensive labor was worked on the sheath. Even that those two knives are not made by HI they are still a beautiful addition to your collections.

As a matter fact my sister Kanchhi thought the knife #2 may have been owned by a higher authority Mustang person, like a King.

The handle is made of Yak horn with decorative white metal and stone. We do not get this type knife often and I am offering these two knives for your collections. The sheath craftsmanship alone is worth more than the asking price.

Here is your opportunity to own a rare knife for your collection.

I love how with Himalayan Imports you get museum quality for a user's price. THIS is why it's one of my favorite companies.

Those look like Kothimora Tibetan knives! Amazing craftmanship on the carvings!
Yep! Pemba and Randy look sharp! Love them hats too!

I really like #2, but I really prefer it without the Sarki leather additions. That's the deal maker for me, I may just have to get the Tibetan Long Sword on Today's DOTD. I need to weigh the consequences, I'll be in the dog house, but then it isn't snowing outside, just raining...lol

Ill open the door for ya brother! Might have to split some wood tonight for a warm welcome :D

Man alive! I love # 2. Wowza. I'd have the leather off in 4 seconds flat too but not a deal breaker for me at all.

Just the bank, I hate banks.

Mustang is a district in northern Nepal, so that's where the knives were made. Moreover, it used to be part of the Lo kingdom. So, there could be a connection of these knives to nobility at least.

Et2's answers sounds a whole lot better than mine. Now I'm feeling pretty foolish and I don't mind saying so.

I'm just a might jealous too, those knives sing, #2 was speaking to me. Must have been Nepalese, I didn't understand a word but it sounded nice.
