Hey guys (and gals),
Two new CRK arrived on my doorstep this morning and I am absolutely thrilled with both. The first to arrive is my first Mnandi (in Honduran Rosewood). I am seriously impressed with this little knife. The fit-and-finish for such a small piece is amazing. The grains are beautiful and I find myself just staring at it
The second to arrive is my new Sebenza 25. I was lucky enough to find one at a dealer on Tuesday morning (thanks to my good buddy MasterSerg). I am seriously impressed with this knife as well. I also own a Large and Small Sebenza 21 as well as an Umnumzaan. The best way to describe the 25 is kind of the best of both worlds. It has the super robust pivot and beautiful new flatter grind (which reminds me of the Umnumzaan) but also retains the simplicity and minimalist design of the Sebenza 21.
It opens with a very authoritative THWACK and it is smooth as glass. In fact, it is the smoothest CRK I have ever owned right out of the box. The double thumb lugs are a great feature and I am lucky that the extra choil fits my hand like a glove. I think CRK really has a winner with this 25 design and I can't wait to see inlays, micarta and even a small in the future.
Enough chit chat, here are the pics...thanks for looking!
