I splurged on Ebay recently, and tonight I just Paypalled for a Spyderco Peter Herbst folder (VG-10) and a Spyderco Military (CPM-440V). Now you know why I don't have much money left over to pass around a lot of expensive holiday gifts...
Anyway, I paid $59.86 for the Peter Herbst incl. shipping, and $78.01 for the Military incl. shipping. The former is N.I.B. and the latter is "mint condition, with original box." (I'm eager to receive them and confirm those conditions.)
Are these good prices, average prices, great prices, horrible prices...? I'm thinking that they're probably at least $10 less per knife than I would have paid if I got them in a store somewhere, but I haven't gone scouring websites for price comparisons. Am I right, or are these just typical prices for these knives?
This Military is my first non-brand-new knife purchase! I bought it mostly because I've wanted one for a while, wanted it combo-edged, and it is claimed to be in mint condition. I have no idea why the seller was getting rid of it. Hope the description is accurate.
