Larry Pridgen made me these two. First is a scagel style bowie with L6 steel, antler handle and brass guard. REally feels good in the hand. Nice wide belly for a smooth arching cut. The other he made as a custom thrower using micarta for the handle scales. Did some file work on it that doesn't show in the pic. Really balanced nice.

I really like Scagel-style pieces and that one has all the right looks. My only quibble is that I'd have preferred the plunge cut go all the way back to where the tang meets the blade and "drops" down towards the edge. Just a personal preference, and purely for the look, because its stuck in my mind that Scagels were full convex ground.

The thrower caught me by surprise - that is BIG !! What are the specs and dimensions on it ? Thanks. Jason.
