Two new pawnshop finds: Case and Camillus

I picked these up a a local pawnshop a little while back and just finally got a chance to shoot a couple of pictures of them. I paid $6 for the Camillus and $20 for the Case. The Case is BIG, and looks like somebody tried to sharpen it on a grinder, but I am hoping that I can reprofile it and clean the blade up a bit.

Love that old Case........is the blade discoloured from patina or from the grinder you mentioned some previous owner used on the beauty?

Mostly just patina. The scans are darker than the blade actually is (cheap cheap scanner). The blade has some deeper scratches in it from the grinder, but it doesn't look burned or discolored from heat.

you did really good, all the pawnshops around here are filled with junk made in china. if you ever do find an american made knife they want a new price for it. later,ahgar
