TWO NEW Tins at Wally World !!!

Dang why did you post that?'

I will not buy Chinese

I will not buy Chinese.

I will not buy Chinese.

Dang, that doesn't help much.

I know there are various attitudes about the china knives.

But I just tell myself that I am supporting Buck USA when I buy one.

and don't sell those short. They are good knives. My dad has been using a 373 now for a few years. Is doing good for him.

Wonder if these knives have any special treatment. Sounds like they have wooden scales, you can't tell if it's the same handles used on the regular production knives.

Didn't these knives sets that were sold in the stores come with bone handles? I don't know cause it doesn't seem like any of the Michigan WalMart carried any of the commemorative packages this year.

Last year, bone. This year, wood, so three knives for $30 is a deal but last years China offerings where prettier and more Christmassy.

Thanks for the update. Is it the same wood used on the regular models?

Sure wish I lived somewhere that I could see them so I didn't have to bother y'all with all these questions.

thanks again

Cool.

Still can't do chinese though......... May break down someday. I almost bought the 3 pack tin the other day. However, I know I would never want to carry one and wouldn't give one as a gift since it would always bother me.

So, I'll stick to the American versions that are out there.

I found a Spyderco Native S30V on the page with the Buck knives and ordered it. I've wanted a Native with this steel for a long time and at $39+ its a good price.

It is the same, rosewood, so it is nice, just not special.

Thanks again, sir.

One good deal I saw was a SAK Farmer model for $16.99. That's close to half the going rate. Forgive me for mentioning a non Buck knife. I always carry a buck, but it's nice to have a back up when you don't want to mess up the buck using it as a pry bar, screw driver, etc.

PaulTX - you'll like that Spydie Native - it's made in the USA - and, if you really travel, it says 'Earth', too. Blaspheme - I spoke of a non-Buck knife! I will have to pay my penetance - and get myself to a Wally World for more Bucks forthwith!

Oh yeah, my wife bought me that 'Native' - yeah, that's the ticket... she did it...

Stainz

I've had Spyderco Native with a VG-10 blade for a year now and bought one for my daughter to carry some time before that. I like the Native so much I wanted one in S30V, especially after experiencing a Buck 110 in S30V!!

I put "Buck" in my message!

Paul

The Scholar has been marked down to $10.50. I had bought two of them and they are well made knives ( I know China!!)
