Hey Gang

I wish to show you two new works Alexey Konygin.
Alexey used new for him materials in both knives.
And the first experience with a new material was successful.

The first knife it is a small Raven

Blade length 105mm, width 32mm, thickness 3.5mm, Damasteel, AOL 225mm, thickness handle 16mm,
Ti / Timascus, lock Damasteel, weight 178gr

In the Raven it is used original lock-mechanism invented by Alexey.
For unlock it is necessary to press a tail of the Raven.
In video I have shown as it works.
Alexey for the first time worked with Damasteel and Timascus.
With Damasteel there were no problems. Alexey very beautifully has ground and finished it.
Timascus Alexey finished and anodized 4 or 5 times.
Big difficulties were because parts handle the Raven have very complex figure.
They are very difficult for anodizing equally.
But all efforts have paid back because the Raven is very beautiful.
The raven cannot be used as EDC but it is very beautiful.
Alexey's design plus damasteel and timascus = BAD ASS!!!! :applause:

The second work it is redesign Decepticon

Blade length 105mm, thickness 4mm, steel PSF-127, thickness handle 14mm, AOL 235mm,
Ti/Zirconium, weight 172gr.

Alexey for the first time worked with Zirconium. He was very cautious and on it his the workshop has not burned down. :D
It is the first Decepticon which it is possible to use as EDC.
I have made it - have put Decepticon on a pocket of jeans.
Very comfortable feeling of a knife in a hand. I am very happy.
I like new Decepticon

Both are amazing but the design elements and fit and finish on the raven just blows my mind. I'm somewhat new to the custom folder realm and had not previously heard of this maker. He has my attention now

Really, really nice folders!

Thank you for showing different work!

Both knives are beautiful pieces of work.

Could not help but also notice your bronze timepiece. That being another addiction, might I ask who the manufacture is?

Ennebe Fondale Bronzo?

very interesting

With Jim Skelton video and accessibility to the mid-tech Decepticon and reception, Alexey Konygin is going to be a big name in the knife world real soon. I am sure he is big in Russia, but he is going to have global recognition.

Alexey is/was a mechanical engineer by trade. That is why he has such a knack for design.

Hope you guys will take a shot at that mid-tech from customknifefactory.com/fromrussiawithknives.com... It's a beauty... It's a costly for mid-tech at $1070, but it will go up well against any custom in terms of fit and quality. It's beautiful.
