The top two are my Woodsman. The bottom one my Hunter model. Osage over East Indian Rosewood. Lacewood over Curly Maple. Curly Koa over African Blackwood.

Local place. Bought a whole plank. I keep telling you guys Atlanta has good wood stores...

Next time I drive past there I'll have to check 'em out:foot::D

Living in a small, out of the way town, I really have no idea-can I just call some place and order a 8 foot 2x6 of wood like that? I always figured the curles would be spotty and sporadic throughout a piece of wood.

Sorry, really not trying to hijack your thread, you just put out some smokin' hot knives (these included), and your handles really are outrageously nice:thumbup:

There's a place on the internet that sells fantastic wood, called Cooks Woods. Google it! They have pics, its awsome.
