Tom I have two Camillus knives I would like you to tell me about if you can.
First up is this yellow double lockback.

The second is this stout little stockman Silver Sword.

Thanks for the info.

Is the top knife as big as a normal folding hunter (5 1/4 closed)? Neat looking knife and that it locks is better.

Rather than "two odd..." I think a better description is two beautiful knives. I am usually not a big fan of colored scales, but, I really like the look of them on these vintage folders. The little red one in particular looks like it would make a very nice whittler.

Top knife is a 707Y; double lock back Copperhead.

Bottom knife is made from leftover parts. How long ago did you buy it?
I doubt many were made like that one (possibly even assembled outside the Factory).

Hello Phil, How have you been?

Phil identified the yellow handle double lock back knife. I do not recognize the other knife. Are there any numbers stamped on the blades?

Model #834 was a Silver Sword knife that was introduced in the 1980's. Silver Sword knives had a stainless steel handle with a wood inlay.

Tom and Phil the Silver Sword looks like a build out. It is real stubby.
What I was really interested in was the history of that lockback. Year or years made. How many and the usual stuff.
The slabs are not really on too tight. One blade looks like the tip was ground down and the tang stamp looks like it was scratched out on purpose.

The Double Lock Back Copperhead was made around 1991.
I think it was only made once.
It was one of the 2 knives we made using the Inter-Scale Tension spring (the other was the 716 Double Lock Back Trapper).

Your knife is a second (rejected by Quality Control), the stamp was ground off to indicate that.
