Hi everyone!
Here are two knives I just sold at the Branson Knife Show put on by Gary Mulkey. I would like to thank Gary Mulkey for the great show and a really good time. I would also like to thank my brother Caleb for the GREAT pictures. He keeps getting better and better with each one.
The first one is a Slip-Joint Folder forged from 1080 and 15N20 in Ladder Pattern Damascus. The bolsters and back-bar are also of Ladder Pattern Damascus. The handle is of Black-Lip Pearl. The liners are of Coined Titanium that is anodized to a golden/bronze color. This is the third Slip-Joint Folder I have made. This knife is the first one I have made with Black-Lip Pearl and the first one that I have put Rear Bolsters on. The screws are heat colored to match the liners. It won the Best Folder Award at the 2010 Branson Knife Show.
The second knife is forged from two inch W-2 round bar and features a Hamon in the blade. The handle is of Sambar Stag. The W Twist Pattern Damascus fittings are forged from 1080 and 15N20. The guard has a groove going around it with some coining on the edges. The spacer has a groove to match the guard. The edge of the pommel is made to go with the texture of the stag and is the first time Ive done this process. I also made a custom sheath with Diamondback Rattlesnake Skin inlay to accompany this knife. This knife is built in a Take Down style, so the knife can be taken apart for future maintenance. It won the Best Of Show award at the 2010 Branson knife show.
I also won the Best Damascus Award and the Cutting Competition.
