Not counting a couple of pre-orders and small purchases, I'm thinking that these are two items that I would like to get fairly soon.

Anyone have experience with either of them?

I've got both styles.....I carry a Boye cast-colbalt folder everyday and have for several years.....my favorite user after having Tom Krein put a full-height flat-grind on it.

I am a colbalt fan and have several Boye fixed-blades in such, too.

Pohan's folders are very nice, too......both serve their purposes. :)

I am currently making 4 sizes of the Bluephin flipper. 3-1/4, 3-1/2, 3-3/4 and 4-1/8" blades either full titanium or bolstered framelocks with a handle scale

If you mean the boye Basic 3, it's a great design, so is the sheath, a true classic package. I have it in dendritic steel. IIRC it may not be a custom knife. His customs are signed Boye in script.
