yep, a cardboard box...... in the garage..... actually, in a cabinet in the garage.
in my defense, it's a well-used cardboard box, lots of duct tape on it to hold it together.
AND, I can open the cabinet door anytime I want, nothing is in the way.
So I can open the door, grab the box, set it on the workbench, and rummage around for just the right SOG for the occasion.
Hmmm, this implies that my knives are kept in their sheaths. Yep, I'll 'fess up to that, it is true. I have enough trouble, I don't need to maintain a box of razor-sharp knives unsheathed..... that's worse than sticking your hand into a box of snakes.
Of course, it goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway): most of my other knives are also in that cardboard box. One Big Happy Family. The Steel Family.
In case you're wondering, the knives not in the box are:
1. the shorty Kabar kept on my motorcycle.
2. the M7 bayonet on the floor of my car, behind the seat.
3. the other M7 kept in the trunk of my car.
No glass, no curio's..... Yessir, a good way to do business.
Cheers,
Carl
p.s. all this knife talk has woken me up..... time to wander into the garage and sharpen a few !!
