Hello, Nice hobby!

The questions are these;

1. Some knifemakers use their knives the high carbon steel O-1. Does they pronouns 'O-1' as 'O One' or 'Zero One'? I've known it as O One... But other people working a sphere steel material and heat-treatment they pronoun it Zero One in korea. Which is right?

2. The famous tactical knife "BUSSE COMBAT" also, How to pronounce, [Boose] or [boos]?

Two questions are crude but I want your tolerance. Thanks.

raidops, O-1 steel is pronounced as a letter-number, that is, O One. This is like D-2 or VG-10.

Jerry Busse pronounces his name to rhyme with "fussy".

Your question isn't crude at all. The problem is that our alphabet does not represent sounds clearly! :)

Thanks Mr.Esav Benyamin! Many korean people have known as what I've known. Then, can I pronounce "Busse" like "push(fush)"? Anyway very interesting! And thanks again senior!

I catched on the currect pronounciation. Mr.Esav Benyamin's pronounciation in Korean language is very clear. Whole added pronounciation(bieup-eo-shiot-i) is just the same as 'bus+see exactly. Oh! Really appreciate your consideration. And that the 'O' from O-1 is for oil is the new information to me. Thanks too, knifepuppet and tirod3!
