Two Recurve Bowies

It has been quite some time since I posted on here, but since I quite recently finished two projects I am quite proud of, I thought I'd share:

First one has a stabilized mammoth ivory handle, stainless guard and a paper micarta spacer with decorative fullers. The ivory handle is fitted on with alignment pins to achieve a museum fitting (I think that's what it's called in english). The blade is made from 1.2695 which is a highly wear resistant stainless steel with lots of tungsten in the alloy. Seriously, I am proud to have been able to get a hand rubbed satin on this thing at all, it was hell.

Second one has a stabilized Amboina handle, stainless guard and bronze/black spacers. The blade is made from 80CrV2 with an acidwash finish, which I personally quite enjoy.

I'm not the most proficient in leatherwork, but these two sheaths are some of my cleanest work to date and I think they turned out quite nice.

Let me know what you think.

Edit: Knives are a bit over 9,5 inches overall with a 5 inch blade

Thank you all for the kind comments. These two pieces are already sold, but I'm making a third one. I want to use a bog oak handle that has been stabilized with a mixture of some sort of epoxy and copper powder. So there are some copper streaks within the dark handle, which could look really amazing with a bronze guard.

Since I talked big last time about the third recruve bowie I'm making with the copper stabilized bog oak handle, here it is:

Bronze guard, black paper micarta spacer and another bronze spacer with decorative fullers. The handle is fit up with alignment pins for a musem fit and has a bronze pin. I really was not sure at first about this handle material, but I actually really like it now that it is finished.....well, maybe I'm just biased because I've spent so much time with it. I'll let you be the judge on whether the look works.

That's really stellar.

It is a handsome piece!!! Nice job!

The way the lines flow from the guard to the handle is beautiful.
Well done!

I love all of them, sheathes are pretty good too! I like your maker's mark... runes. Care to elaborate?

Thank you for all the kind words.

Thanks for the interest in my mark. My makers mark is basically just my inititals B. N. combined as a germanic rune. If you look at the futhark, and place the runes for "B" and "N" on top of each other, you get something that looks like my makers mark. Since I am from Austria, it seemed fitting.
