Two Sharpener reviews by Steve Bottorff [warthog]

Cliff:

I have avoided knives with reverse curve blades because of the sharpening issue. How do you feel the Warthog V-Sharp would work with reverse curve blades or is there something better?

Noticed your post (and I will certainly defer to Cliff when he jumps on)
For what it's worth, I recently purchased a recurved blade and really had a frustrating time trying to get it sharp. I had seen the Warthog sharpener at a Dallas gun show 1 year ago and actually spent some time at the exhibit. I saw it demonstrated and was impressed. The edges of the knives which were being demod were shaving sharp.
I went looking for this sharpener at both Dallas guns shows this year with the intent of purchasing one and did not see them. I am definitely considering this sharpener or the edge pro. For the price, the Warthog seemed to be well made and well engineered. I would assume it would have no problem sharpening a recurved blade.
