Just finished these two single blade trappers. ATS-34 blades and backsprings and stainless bolsters and liners. Knives are approximately 3 7/8" closed and 6 7/8" open. Thanks for looking.

Don I think you have these knives down to a science. They are absolutely perfect. What else do you make? Anything you want I bet.

Thanks for the kind words Bruce and Keith, I appreciate them. Bruce, I make primarily one, two, and three-blade slip-joints.

Those are great! Seeing those makes me think about carrying a slipjoint again. I've made one or two attempts that failed miserably at making them too:D You make it look too easy.

Matt,
I keep the first ones I made hidden from view. It just takes practice and some patience. If I can help let me know. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks, I might just have to bug you with questions till I figure it out if I ever get adventurous again ;) My main problem is the walk and talk. I can make em snap open usually
(getting enough bend in the springs is a pain!) but they never close right :(

Your knives are absolutely pristine Don!!!
Really amazing work!
I sure wish someone with your talent could take the time and do a good video on slip joint construction!

Thanks Michael, I appreciate your comments. Regarding a video, time is my problem. I would be happy share what I know with anyone via e-mail. Matt feel free to contact me if I can help.
